What is Chamomile?

Chamomile or camomile is a flowering herb. There are two types of chamomile, Anthemis nobilis (Roman chamomile) and Matricaria chamomilia (German chamomile). The dried flowers of chamomile contain many terpenoids and flavonoids contributing to its medicinal properties. Chamomile flower extracts, broken flowers and whole flowers can be used to treat many different human ailments, typically these include:
