What is grapeseed?

Grapeseed is an abundant industrial by-product of wine making. The seeds of various red wine grapes are ground to produce grapeseed, a herbal remedy that has been used for thousands of years for its many health benefits.

Grapeseed contains high quantities of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, flavonoids, carbohydrates proteins and lipids. It also has a high concentration of vitamin E and F, in addition to minerals such as, selenium, magnesium, iron, calcium, copper, zinc, potassium and calcium. Grapeseed is rich in antioxidants, found in the skin of the grapes, these disease-fighting compounds are called oligomeric proanthocyanidins (also known as OPCs), which are said to be more effective than Vitamin E and Vitamin C.
